Jamilla completed her Bachelor of Laws with Central Queensland University before going on to complete her Graduate Diploma in Legal Practice with College of Law in early 2024. She was later admitted into the Legal Profession as a lawyer in the Supreme Court of Queensland in August 2024. Before commencing Legal Practice Jamilla worked in the legal profession as a legal assistant and law clerk for over 5 years in a law firm in Bundaberg Queensland gaining an in depth understanding of legal and Court processes and invaluable practical experiences.

Prior to her joining the Brooke Winter team, Jamilla appeared in a number of jurisdictions throughout rural Queensland in Criminal, Traffic Law, Domestic and Family Violence, Child Protection and Family Law. Jamilla is dedicated to providing professional and ethical legal assistance to her clients. She approaches all her client whether that be a; private, Legally Aided or Duty Lawyer client, with kindness and understanding during their difficult and stressful times and works with her clients to achieve the best possible outcome.
